From the time when he sold the White Sox to Jerry Reinsdorf until his death, Bill Veeck was
a frequent visitor to the bleachers at Wrigley Field. A little known fact is that when his father, William Veeck, Sr was President of the club, Bill Jr. planted the ivy.
